Position Purpose
- As our Creative Manager, you will be the strategic visionary and leader at the heart of our Marketing team.
- You’ll take ownership of defining and executing creative direction for brand communications and campaigns within the dynamic Mobile Financial Industry.
- This pivotal role involves leading and mentoring our Creative team, ensuring consistently compelling and engaging visual content across every medium—digital, print, and app design—that not only resonates with our audience but also strategically drives our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Define and articulate the overarching creative vision and strategy for brand communications, marketing campaigns, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and brand identity within the mobile financial sector.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor the Creative Designers, copy writers, fostering their growth, overseeing their output, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, on-brand creative work.
- Spearhead the conceptualization and development of innovative creative images and narratives for major marketing campaigns, events, social media content, and branding materials, in close collaboration with Brand, Event, and Corporate Communication teams.
- Act as the guardian of our brand identity, ensuring absolute adherence to guidelines and maintaining consistency and excellence in visual identity across all platforms and touchpoints.
- Provide expert creative oversight to produce visually appealing graphics, illustrations, layouts, and multimedia content (including short videos, animations, and interactive presentations) for both digital and print media, ensuring they effectively convey the intended message.
- Direct the design and production of impactful print materials and digital assets, from brochures and flyers to app interfaces and online advertisements.
- Manage multiple complex design projects simultaneously, optimizing workflows, setting clear timelines, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality creative assets.
- Facilitate constructive design critiques and guide the team in incorporating feedback to continuously elevate the quality and effectiveness of all creative output.
- Collaborate extensively with various internal teams to deeply understand project requirements and deliver strategic, impactful design solutions that align with their objectives and industry regulations.
Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related creative field.
- Proven experience in a creative manager leadership role at least 5 years and managing or providing significant creative direction to other designers or a creative team.
- Demonstrated experience within the Mobile Financial Services industry, FinTech, or a related highly regulated digital consumer-facing sector is highly preferred.
- Design AI Proficiency & Adaptability: Proven ability to utilize design AI tools in an agile manner, leveraging them strategically to enhance efficiency, innovation, and creative output. The ideal candidate is keen to explore and implement new AI-powered creative solutions.
- An eagerness to learn and apply diverse creative storytelling techniques to engage audiences and communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Extensive professional experience in graphic design and creative direction, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful brand campaigns and diverse projects.
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- An outstanding portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, strategic creative direction, and exceptional creative abilities.
- A deep, applied understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and visual communication.
- A genuine passion for staying current with the latest design trends, emerging technologies, and creative tools, with an eye towards future-proofing our creative approach.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple concurrent strategic projects, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
